BAFA is the meeting point of arts festivals in the UK, providing information and a professional network for the festivals movement.

In spring 2001 BAFA published Festivals Mean Business, the first nationwide study of festivals since 1992, which provides new financial coordinates for the arts festivals scene, and examines the cultural, social and economic impact of arts festivals in the UK.

This original report was given an update in December 2002. It provides yet further evidence of the strength of British Arts Festivals, and the continued impact they have across the UK. The findings of the update can be obtained from the BAFA office, and are priced, with the original report at £45(inc. p&p).

As well as the arts festivals website, BAFA publishes a free Calendar and Directory of the 105 festival members in print, and produces an advance festivals press pack each January.
